Gryphen's Album

I haven't had much time to scrap lately..the only project I have really worked on is this "back to school" album for Gryphen to take to school with him. It still needs pics of his preschool and will "end" with him in his school uniform. I just wanted to share!

Introduction

So I usually blog on my MYSPACE page but as it is restricted and somtimes I feel the need to monitor myself more than necessary...so my hope is that here I can open up, be creative and not worry about what the world around me things.
I am a 32 year old mom of five children plus a much loved Angel. My eldest is Chelsea and she is 14, Christopher is 12...Chris and Chelsea come from my first marriage to Henry but as he has never been in their lives they have always considered Brandon their dad. Tristan is 10, Phoenix is 5 and Gryphen is 4. My little Liam was born still on April 8th, 2006. I like to imagine him being rocked to sleep by my mom in Heaven and watching us through our lives.
I am originally from Florida where I lived until I was about 12 when we moved to North Carolina, I spent most of my teenage years going back and forth between the two with visits to my dad in Georgia mixed in. So I guess you can just call me Southern. We moved to the UK the first time in 2000 and lived about 7 months in Southery in an old pub before moving to Newmarket where we lived in a modern semi-detached house in open base housing. During our first trip we were lucky enough to visit Wales (my favorite place on earth), Belgium, and France and very blessed with our Phoenix and Gryphen. In 2003 my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and we immediately returned home to be with her. We arrived in mid August and were lucky enough to have my mom until she fell into a coma in early March and passed away in April 2004. While in Florida we lived in four different houses and I had three jobs. For the first 9 months I worked for Disney in their reservations center, this was a true blessing to our family because we were able to go to Disney for free and got amazing discounts for all the restaurants, shops and hotels! We went to Orlando most weekends and loved it. Unfortuneatly Disney doesn't treat their workers very well so I ended up leaving and taking a job at AOL as a technical support agent, after three months with AOL I moved into the training department and helped to rewrite training programs and uptrain agents..I loved this job but as I was having a very difficult pregnancy I left and took time off...when Liam was born still I decided that I needed to get a new job in order to keep myself from falling off the earth and took a job as a travel consultant. At this job I helped to design a program which allowed the company to telecommute as well as go paperless. The plan was to take this job with me when we moved back to the UK but as we ran into many troubles with our move the job didn't work out and I had to let it go.
We arrived back in the UK in April of 2007 and have settled into the most amazing house in a small town called Highworth. Our house was the local school in the 1800's and became a red cross depot during the second world war before being turned into several flats, and two houses. I LOVE MY HOUSE! My kids have settled into the move quite well, Chelsea and Chris are going to school in Cirencester at a very posh boarding school..they are only day students but even so do not get home from school til around 6pm four days a week, 530 on Fridays and 430 on Saturdays..yes 6 days a week!!! They love the school and are very active. Chris will be playing for the Rugby team this coming fall and Chelsea will start her GCSE's.
Tristan goes to Southfields which is directly across from our house, so close I can see inside the main hall! He is doing well and has made a couple of friends. In particular Joshua who is a lovely well mannered boy who comes over a few afternoons a week.
Phoenix goes to Eastrop which is a school for reception to year 2. It is just down the road so we walk to and from school everyday..he loves his school and has made many friends.
Gryphen will start Eastrop in September but is currently going to Vorda preschool two sessions a week. He loves it and especially loves his teachers. He eats lunch at school once a week and his teachers are always bragging about his amazing manners! I am so proud! We took a field trip with his school recently to the Cotswild Wildlife park and had the most amazing time!
My husband is Brandon...things between us are strained these days as there is always conflict between the kids and our schedules. I feel it will be better once I can start work again but since I can't do this until Gryphen is in full time school we are much more strapped for cash than we are used to and it is causing alot of grief.
As far as me personally...I love TV and am currently rather obsessed with Big Brother. I am renting the entire series of Gilmore Girls and That 70s show to catch up with my two favorite American shows. I also like Cold Case, Hollyoaks, Numbers, and sitcoms. I really like home and antique shows and plan to have a whole collection of antiques to bring home when we leave England in about five years. I also love scrapbooking and have been lucky enough to find a great group to crop with a couple times a month and chat with daily! I have one scrapbuddy who came to crop with me recently and we are planning to make it a weekly thing!! YAY!!! That really makes a huge difference in my life! In addition to Sandie..I have Joshua's mum Vale who visits a few days a week and sits and chats, and I had coffee with a wonderful lady from our church who was great to talk to! We have found a nice church that meets our needs and is within walking distance. So I am making friends and getting involved. I do miss my friends back home, My Tahni and Caleb and Chelsea and the now non-existant friendships with Chad and Melissa.
So I guess that is everything one would need to know and more than anything would want to know!
